  • Application

    Complete our application and submit the certification fee. We will respond within 1–2 days and provide a Non-Disclosure Agreement to ensure your confidentiality is fully protected.

  • We visit your kitchen

    Is your business in Berlin?

    In less than a week, a certified Mexican chef will visit your establishment to evaluate your ingredients, preparation, flavors, and the overall experience you offer.

    Outside of Berlin? Anywhere in Germany or Europe?
    No problem — we coordinate on-site visits through our network of certified Mexican chefs across the region.

  • Certification

    Receive your official certificate by post, along with a digital seal delivered straight to your inbox — perfect for showcasing on social media and all your digital platforms.

    You’ll also receive a self-adhesive sticker for your business.

    Plus, your brand will be proudly featured in our exclusive Directory of Certified Mexican Restaurants in Europe and highlighted across our media channels.

What happens if I don’t meet all the certification requirements?

No worries! We’ll send you a detailed report highlighting exactly where improvements are needed, along with practical suggestions to help you get there.

Why does the certification last only 2 years, and why is renewal required?


As a nonprofit organization, our goal is not to profit from the certification but to uphold the highest standards of authentic Mexican cuisine across Europe.

In our experience, maintaining consistency in quality and authenticity can be challenging over time. Menus evolve, head chefs move on, new ownership may come in, and suppliers can change- sometimes in search of cheaper alternatives that compromise the integrity of the dishes.

By requiring renewal every 2 years, we ensure that certified establishments continue to meet the same high standards that earned them the seal in the first place. And we're here to support you in maintaining those standards.

Bonus: If your restaurant is a member of MDEU, renewal fees are fully waived.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

Yes — we offer full refunds if the inspection visit has not yet taken place in Berlin. If that is your case, please contact us right away and we will process your refund.

For locations outside Berlin or elsewhere in Europe, a partial refund may be issued if the assigned inspector has already purchased non-refundable transportation.
